Domain Research Tool

Domain Research Tool, (DRT), is an application that could be utilised on the initial enumeration of a target network.  Its main function is to find domains, gather search engine traffic information, enumerate backlinks, establish page ranking statistics with a number of search engines and has an enhanced whois facility, (the latter the reason for the evaluation).

DRT features also include:

  • BULK Scanning support - DRT will scan multiple domains i.e. up to 500,000 domains per scan cycle.  DRT will also load, filter and analyse DNS zone files.

  • Powerful Proxy Support - To enable the above requires the use of Proxy servers of which DRT can utilise anything up to 10,000.  This is dynamically done on a rotational, performance based basis.

  • IDN Support - International Domain Names (IDNs) conversion is done in the background.

  • Typo Generator - Ability to generate 100+ of typos from other domains and keyword phrases. Generate typos in 250 TLDs and quickly check them for availability. Note: - See also txdns

  • Portfolio Management support -  Ability to monitor and track the user's domain portfolio. Changes to domain whois records, name servers, e-mails, IPs, site title, link popularity, overture score and much more are tracked and analysed.

  • Watch List - Ability to keep track of offers, auctions, sales, purchases, negotiations, domain notes, alerts etc.

  • Type-in Domain Finder - Ability to find and acquire type-in domains.

It is available from here.

Note: - This is a commercial product and although can be used for enumeration purposes is really designed for web statistical purposes.  DRT currently costs $250.
